I felt the pang of hurt from this... I've had friends, close ones whom I considered kindred spirits, make me feel as though I was a dusty book on a shelf, overlooked in favor of new ones that may never be read to begin with... This was a powerful poem. I love how you come up with fresh and unexpected angles to convey such relatable experiences.
