I run on fuel and meditation is my refill! I get so stressed at work, I have PMDD and I'm very sensitive to the changing seasons but meditation helps me get through that. On some days, even listening to a 5-minute guided meditation video does the job. I can’t believe I went without it for so long--it's been two years now since I started meditating regularly and I’m so grateful for it.
Your article deeply resonates with me. ❤️ I'm not a mother yet, so I don’t know what it’s like, but I can recommend something that worked for me on days when I desperately needed alone time. If you don’t already, try waking up a bit earlier than usual on a weekend maybe, maybe around 5AM (if you’ve had enough nighttime rest). Stretch, meditate, and make a warm drink. I recommend chamomile tea or rose tea with honey as a sweetener (if you want to go gentle into that good day!), or coffee if you need a quick energy boost. Then, write about how you feel, or how this small change made you feel, while enjoying your warm drink.
