Sometimes some lies can do us more good than bad. It's really subjective. If we were to be 100% honest even in sticky situations, we would just bring misery to our lives. Also, I can totally relate to the part about using "honesty" with intentions to hurt others. I was hurt a lot in the past by fake friends who used to say, " I'm just being honest, y'knw?" after making some nasty comments.
