Thank you very much for this profound and insightful piece. I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. For me, poetry is evolution... The spark of inspiration is like discovering fire. At first, the thoughts and feelings hunt you, and you have no other choice but to craft your tools-- sharpen your rhythm and symbols, wield your poetic devices, and hunt them yourself. The poem is fully formed now. It grows a face and learns to speak.
